Mahidol Volunteer, a dedicated initiative by the Development Section, Division of Student Affairs at Mahidol University, proudly organized the ‘Mahidol Day of Service’ in honor of Mahidol Day 2023. This endeavor embodies the spirit of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla, urging students, staff, youth, and the wider community to apply their knowledge for the betterment of society and to reflect on the benevolence of this esteemed figure.

Set to take place on September 20, 2023, at Wat Maklue School, located in Khlong Yong Subdistrict, Bhuddamonthon District, Nakhon Pathom province, this event will see the convergence of Mahidol University’s dedicated students and staff, alongside the bright and enthusiastic students of Wat Maklue School, in a day of meaningful volunteer activities.

The activities planned for the day are designed to promote holistic well-being, knowledge sharing, and creative expression. They include:

– Futsal & Volleyball Training Program: A comprehensive program aimed at promoting physical health and well-being.

– Dengue Prevention and Control Program: In line with the policy of knowledge dissemination within communities, as laid out by the Office of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation. This program will work towards raising awareness and action in combating the menace of Dengue fever.

– Wall Painting Program: Designed to nurture creativity and enhance focus, this program will be an exciting opportunity for participants to explore their artistic talents and contribute to the aesthetic enhancement of their environment.

The ‘Mahidol Day of Service’ is not only a tribute to the memory of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla but a

manifestation of Mahidol University’s deep commitment to community engagement and education for the greater good.
