Automotive bush typically provides a bearing surface for rotary applications which consequently reduces shock and vibration in automotive applications. Commonly, the bush is made from rubber or polyurethane. The bush is usually equipped in many automotive parts, thus, a large volume of rubber consumption comes from the manufacturing of this part. Rubber Technology Research Centre (RTEC) has conducted research and development of rubber formulation for rubber bush manufacturing in order to improve mechanical properties under both static and dynamic loads.
