Objectives:
ㆍ Encourage effective collaboration between academic teams from both institutions to drive exceptional research.
ㆍ Expand research initiatives in areas of shared interest, emphasizing scale and focus.
ㆍ Foster engagement at all academic levels by ensuring diverse compositions within research teams.
ㆍ Provide international research training opportunities.
ㆍ Establish a robust foundation for ongoing research collaboration, securing external funding.
ㆍ Support the formation of long-term strategic research alliances between the two universities.
ㆍ Actively promote and facilitate academic exchanges for research visits between both institutions.
ㆍ Amplify the visibility and global impact of collaborative research outputs through joint publications, presentations, and dissemination activities.
Funding information:
ㆍ Matched areas: Open for all disciplines.
ㆍ Funding Amount:Each selected project receives up to a total of GBP 20,000 (approximately THB 400,000 from Mahidol’s side).
ㆍ Eligibility: Academics employed at the University of Sussex and Mahidol University are eligible to apply.
ㆍ Project Structure:Each proposal must include a Chief Principal Investigator (Pl) from both the University of Sussex and Mahidol University.
ㆍ Application Limit:A faculty member may serve as a Chief Principal Investigator on only one application per cycle. However, there is no limit to the number of applications a faculty member may join as a (co-investigator) team member.
ㆍ Selection Process: Competitive selection process involving review committees from both of the universities.
