Objectives:

• Encourage effective collaboration between academic teams from both institutions to drive exceptional research.
• Expand research initiatives in areas of shared interest, emphasizing scale and focus.
• Foster engagement at all academic levels by ensuring diverse compositions within research teams.
• Provide international research training opportunities.
• Establish a robust foundation for ongoing research collaboration, securing external funding.
• Support the formation of long-term strategic research alliances between the two universities.
• Actively promote and facilitate academic exchanges for research visits between both institutions.
• Amplify the visibility and global impact of collaborative research outputs through joint publications, presentations, and dissemination activities.
• Promote Co-supervision for Ph.D. candidates.

Funding information:

• Number of Projects: Funding is available for three projects per year.
• Matched areas: Nursing and Allied Health
• Funding Amount: Each project will receive a total of AUD 20,000, with AUD 10,000 each from the University of Southern Queensland and Mahidol University.
• Eligibility: Academics employed at the University of Southern Queensland and Mahidol University are eligible to apply.
• Project Structure: Each proposal must include a Chief Principal Investigator (PI) from both the University of Southern Queensland and Mahidol University.
• Application Limit: A faculty member may serve as a Chief Principal Investigator on only one application per cycle. However, there is no limit to the number of applications a faculty member may join as a (co-investigator) team member.
