Mahidol University has a determination statement of being “Wisdom of the Land” with the main mission to create excellence in health, science, art, and innovation based on virtue for the betterment of Thai society and the benefits of mankind. Aiming to become a world-class institution and fulfilling the university’s academic responsibilities, sustainable management strategies have been introduced, echoing the policy of Eco University, with a clear goal of creating sustainable development both within the university and the communities surrounding. Creating a balance of economic, social, and environmental dimensions will lead to utilization of resources more efficiently, social equality, and a better quality of life of staff, students, and those surrounding the university.

Based on the success of the “Clean and Clear” project in 2008 and the strategic development in 2012-2020, 3 strategies have been laid out as follows:
