Online EAT 2022 Successfully Completed the Two-day Program

On the 9th February 2022, 10 Mahidol University students, participated on the first day of the Online EAT 2022, an international online program focusing on exchanging knowledge and experience regarding Asian food and culture.

“EAT” or “East Asian Tales of Food” is a program jointly hosted by Fukuoka Women’s University (Japan), Ewha Womans University (South Korea) and Mahidol University (Thailand) and usually held in summer. However, due to the pandemic situation around the world, we decided to organize the program via online system, starting from last year. The Online EAT2022 is the second time and it would be held for 2 days, on Wednesday 9th and Wednesday 16th February 2022, from 13.30 – 16.00 hrs. The total number of student participants is 30, 10 from each university. Before the event started, all participants were asked to take photos of their daily meals. For the first day of the program, they were divided into groups, getting to know each other, shared their photos and discussed about their daily meals. For the second group work, they compared 3 food cultures, Japanese, Korean, and Thai, regarding the ingredients, seasonings, costs and etc. They also discussed about the roles, the meeting dates and methods for their following week presentation.
