During 28-31 May 2018, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nopraenue Dhirathiti, Acting Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, attended the 2018 NAFSA Annual Conference and Expo: Diverse Voices, Shared Commitment and representing Mahidol University and APAIE Board Member to deliver a talk on “the Impact of the 4th Industrial Revolution on Higher Education in Thailand” along with the other two APAIE board members from Keio University (Japan) and University of Hawaii at Manoa (US).

In the event, several issues in international education were being raised and discussed, including international student recruitment, the roles of government and HEIs in promoting internationalization, institutional models in supporting international students, management of study abroad programmes and so on.

During the networking sessions, Mahidol University engaged in the talks with University of Indiana (Indianapolis and Bloomington), University of Sussex (UK), University of Essex (UK), University of York (UK), University of Victoria (Canada), National Chung Hsing University (Taiwan), to name a few, on the possibilities of reciprocal student exchange, summer school programmes, internship placement and a double degree programme in population between IPSR and University of Sussex.

The IR Division, Mahidol University, will further liaise with faculties and institutes and move forward the arrangements made with partners in due course.
