The MoU Signing Ceremony between Mahidol University and the University of Bremen, and the opening ceremony of the Mahidol – Bremen Medical Informatics Research Unit or MIRU took place on Friday 9 February 2018 at the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology.

On this occasion, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, Acting President, Prof. Ruengpung Sutthent, Acting Vice President for Research, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Acting Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jarernsri L. Mitrpanont, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology welcomed Mr. Knut Zuchan, First Secretary, Head of Science and Technology Department, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Singapore, Prof. Dr. Eva-Maria Feichtner, Vice President for Diversity and International Affairs and delegates from University of Bremen.

After the ceremonies, the two institutions discussed further collaboration in terms of a university level co-tutelle umbrella, a capacity building programs in health and social sciences and a customizable summer programs between the two institutions. The discussion points are broad spectrum initiatives to strengthen strategic partnership between the two universities.
