Unleashing Student Power at the Sawasdee Thailand Program 2024!

The International Relations Division of Mahidol University proudly presents the “Sawasdee Thailand Summer Program 2024”! This unique program showcases the dynamic involvement of students from across Mahidol’s Salaya, Amnatcharoen, Kanchanaburi, and Nakhonsawan campuses, who come together as buddies to welcome and engage with international participants from around the globe.

On 18th June 2024. Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, presided over the opening ceremony, which saw participation from students across the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, totaling 62 students.

Dr. Phatra Samerwong and Dr. Sitara Jutharat introduced key program topics, including “Sustainable Life and Society” and “Culture”, at the Mini Theater Room, Mahidol Learning Center (MLC) Building, Salaya Campus. We also dived deeper into Thai cultures and foods By Dr. Orrathip Geerativudhipong and Asst. Prof. Vannaporn Phongpheng.

After the lectures, all participants joined the “Salaya Campus Tour”, provided by Mahidol University students. This tour, led by our enthusiastic student, showcased the vibrant campus life and state-of-the-art facilities, fostering a deeper connection between international visitors and the Mahidol community.

Mahidol University students play a pivotal role in this program, guiding and bonding with friends from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Through activities such as the opening ceremonies and icebreaking sessions, expertly led by students, we create an environment where global friendships are formed and cultures are shared.
