This research investigated 17 varieties of indigenous durian from different garden in Nonthaburi province. Edible part of each variety was collected and studied several nutrients, bioactive compounds and antioxidants. All varieties of durian contained considerable amount of various beneficial nutrient such as protein, monounsaturated fat, dietary fiber, potassium, phosphorus, carotenoids and antioxidants. On the other hand, they contained high amount of carbohydrate which sugar was major component (50-90%). In combination of high benefit compounds and low unhealthy nutrients, best varieties were Kob-wat-kuay, Kob-sao-noi, Kob-wai, Kob-pi-kul, and Kum-pun-puang. However, limit amount of consumption in each time or each day was recommended. In addition, these data will be added into the online Thai food composition database (http://www.inmu.mahidol.ac.th/thaifcd/home.php) after published in the international journal.
