Wastewater Treatment Plant
Wastewater from Salaya campus treat by activated sludge (an aerobic process to obtain treated wastewater according to Thai government standard. In addition, the recycle water use to buses, machines and equipment washing and watering plants.
Recycled Water Station
Mahidol University also have a wastewater treatment plant in main campus. It is the environmental friendly way to treat water in campus before drain it into the nature. We set to water monitoring of water treatment quality every month. In 2020, the recycled water production is about 1,000 m3 per day which accounted for 24,000 m3 per year.
Many wet land areas in the world are currently threated by human activities. As the University values conservation of the University ecosystem, wetland areas are conserved for mitigating drought and flooding events, water supply, and recreation area.
