Research and Development Hip Abduction Device to Prevent Hip Dislocation for Post Operation Hip Replacement

This research encompassed the design and development of a hip abduction device prototype. The device was designed to reduce the risk of dislocation after hip replacement surgery. The patients after hip replacement surgery would have to be properly rehabilitate and change movements to activity daily living. This research was designed and developed hip abduction device to prevent complications because wrong sleep position on the bed, wrong sitting position and move from sleep position to wrong sitting beside the bed. The design used readily available materials in Thailand. It was developed to be safe, easy to use, easy to maintenance, can be adjusted to an appropriate size for each individual patient and inexpensive. The developed device must pass feedback from 10 various specialists. The opinion of 10 specialists, there are many topics in a satisfaction questionnaire such as shape, weight, easy to use, safety, portable, durable, benefit, overall device. All topic of questionnaire have moderate to highest and the topic’s the highest score is portable (80%).
