The research and networking-based collaboration between the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University (MU) and NewRail of Newcastle University (NU) has been active since 2013, and the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University and the BTS has also been working together on various projects for a few years already. RailExchange project has successfully performed toward the aims to develop sustainable railway education in Thailand via international partnerships and industry collaborations based around stakeholders’ expertise and experience. The activities included getting industry inputs into engineering curricula, developing capacity for engineering educators and promoting knowledge sharing via student projects.
The project has achieved and been able to:
1.) enhance Thai engineering education through knowledge sharing from UK university and the rail industry;
2.) promote the workplace simulation based on industrial case study, and
3.) promote collaborations in rail engineering curricula in Thailand.
