The ASEAN S&T Fellowship is a programme that empowers ASEAN scientists to lead the efforts of fostering and institutionalizing science-based policy-making throughout the region by placing them in relevant government line ministries in their home countries for a duration of one year. Details here

The Ernst Mach Grant ASEA-UNINET within the framework of the ASEAN-European Academic University Network (ASEA-UNINET) enables students and researchers stays in Austria. The target group are PhD students, postdocs and lecturers at member institutions of the ASEA-UNINET. Details here


UK – Royal Society Newton Funding Mobility Fund Grants. Thai Researchers Eligible
The Royal Society offers Newton Mobility Grants to provide international researchers with funding towards travel, subsistence and research expenses for either a one-off short visit to explore opportunities for building lasting networks or for bilateral visits to strengthen emerging collaborations. TWAS Research Grants Programme in Basic Sciences (Individuals). Cambodia, Laos PDR, Myanmar Eligible
Under this scheme, grants are awarded to promising high-level research projects in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics carried out by individual scientists in one of the S&T-lagging countries identified by TWAS. Details here

UK – Wellcome Trust International Training Fellowships. ASEAN Countries Eligible. Deadline 25 April
This scheme offers nationals of low- and middle-income countries the opportunity to receive training at postgraduate or postdoctoral level. An International Training Fellowship is for three years, unless you want to hold it on a part-time basis. Details here


UK – Wellcome Trust International Master’s Fellowships. ASEAN Countries Eligible. Deadline 16 April
This scheme enables high-calibre, mid-career researchers from low- and middle-income countries, including ASEAN (ex Singapore and Brunei), to receive training at Master’s degree level. Your research proposal should focus on a health priority in a low- or middle-income country. Details here


Austria Institute of Science & Technology Austria. Postdoc ISTplus Programme for Exceptional Researchers Including those from ASEAN
ISTplus is open to qualified applicants from all over the world who are interested in spending the postdoctoral stage of their scientific research career at IST Austria. The program is intended for postdocs interested in the areas that are represented by the faculty at IST Austria. Funding is usually provided for two years. Details here

13 PhD Positions in the EU funded EVOdrops Project on Protein Engineering and Microfuidics
The projects will use a multidisciplinary approach combining soft matter, microfluidics and chemical biology to design solutions for the selection of new enzymes of industrial and therapeutic interest. In the future, our approaches can be generalised to challenges involving high-throughput miniaturised biochemical or cell-based assays. Details here
