Thai-Yunnan Guizhou Hunan Education Cooperation Conference

Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, Acting President of Mahidol University, led a group of delegates consisting of Assoc. Prof. Jarernsri Mitrpanont, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology and her team as well as Asst. Prof. Waressara Weerawat, representative from the Faculty of Engineering, to join Thai-Yunnan Guizhou Hunan Education Cooperation Conference scheduled during 11-15 June 2018 in Yunnan.

The conference features the official establishment of Thai-Yunnan Universities Network, roundtable discussion, speed dating and exhibition opened to students who like to further their study in Thailand.

During the 5-day conference, Asst. Prof. Boonsit Yimwadsana, Deputy Dean for Graduate Studies and International Relations, Faculty of ICT showcased Mahidol University’s strength and readiness in leading one of the five pilot clusters – Robotics and Digital Technology. Paralleled with this presentation is discussion on the establishment of Lanchang-Maekong Vocational College where Asst. Prof. Waressara Weerawat shared her view on academic mobility and collaboration.

Last day of the gathering was ended with Thai-Hunan Education Conference on Railway System along with wrap up session jointly conducted by the Bureau of International Cooperation Strategy and the Royal Thai Consulate in Kunming as the host.

Joined in this event also are Minister to the Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing, Director of Guizhou Provincial Education Department, Director of Yunnan Provincial Education Department, Director of Bureau of International Cooperation Strategy (OHEC), Commission on Higher Education of Thailand, and Director of Bureau of Vocational Education (MoE).
